“Clerical Dreams of My Ancestors” seeks to inhabit spaces through beauty, contaminating institutions whose very discourse erases lives, thoughts, and ways of existing. It was my ancestors’ dream to leap with Jesus inside the churches that burned their tongues and their cosmologies. It is a search to re-signify and re-appropriate spaces and narratives.
